The next shampoo that I tried after Ogoyi was TGIN’s or Thank God It’s Natural’s Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo. Ogoyi was too harsh and I wanted something that cleansed my scalp and yet did not strip my hair. After a lot of browsing online I came across TGIN’s Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo.
TGIN’s Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo comes in a large 14.5oz plastic bottle with a flip top cap. The shampoo is translucent with a yellow tinge and it has a fruity fragrance that doesn’t linger. Its consistency is quite thick, so I had to remove the cap in order to pour it out and use it. Even though this shampoo is sulfate free it does make a lather.
After using this from July 2015 to March 2016 with more product to go, I think I like this as a clarifying shampoo. I found that it would get my scalp moderately clean, but over time my hair became very dry. I also had problems rinsing this out of my hair. I would have to rinse 2-3 times and I would still have suds in my hair. On the plus side, my hair rarely tangled when using this shampoo. Seeing as I am using this as a clarifier, this bottle will last me a long time. I am not sure if I will repurchase it.
